Academic system

Question :
Question
How does the ASU’s academic system differ from that of UNSW’s?
Answer :
Answer

UNSW students may find ASU’s way of teaching to be different from that to which they are accustomed.  Generally-speaking, ASU courses tend to be more assessment intensive than those at the UNSW. Grades may consist of multiple assignments and exams, and often include points for participation in discussion boards and other forums. ASU Online courses, specifically, are built on an intensive 7.5 week schedule where students should expect to dedicate 18-24 hours per week to each course. Courses are structured with multiple touch points each week to  provide a framework for online students to keep up with course content and meet weekly deadlines. Because of the emphasis on regular assignments, UNSW students may initially find it challenging to adjust to the way ASU courses are delivered. To prepare for success, students should review their course syllabi carefully, especially the section on assessment methods.
