The Master of Advanced Study in Health Informatics is designed to offer professionals working in the field of health care an opportunity to earn a master level degree on the effective use of information technology, data science, and knowledge representation to impact health and health care. Professionals in non-health fields can also enhance their skills to transition to careers in this rapidly expanding field. While the media arts have traditionally been studied as independent disciplines, our program provides a more comprehensive approach that views them as convergent. We recognize the importance of understanding the history of film as an art form, for instance, but also the need to view it in relation to television and digital media. We are committed to integrating the study of such media convergence into our curriculum, both as units within courses and through the design of new courses entirely devoted to that phenomenon.

The online undergraduate certificate in Homeland Security provides you with skills and credentials that will prepare you to enter career fields specializing in Homeland Security. This program covers topics such as Domestic and International Terrorism, Cyber Terrorism and advance crime courses.

With a Homeland Security degree or certificate, you will be well-equipped for career opportunities established as a result of the events of September 11th, 2001 and the formation of the Department of Homeland Security. Along with public law enforcement, many private companies have created new and highly effective security systems or expanded existing ones.

This program will be affiliated with the BS in Criminology and Criminal Justice and will also be available to non-CRJ majors. The certificate will enhance the bachelor's program by incorporating an additional credential to ASU Online students. It will also supplement non-CRJ majors as it provides students with additional Criminology courses not required for their primary degree.

The Bachelor of Science in Technological Entrepreneurship and Management (TEM), bridges the gap between technology and business for students who want to launch their own technology-based ventures, profit or non-profit, or prepare for a career in product/service design and development or technology management. As a student in this program, you will have the opportunity to learn to start, finance and operate businesses and nonprofit organizations. TEM is a collaborative effort bringing together faculty from diverse programs focused on entrepreneurship and technological advances across campuses.

During your time in this program, you will work individually and in virtual, collaborative project teams that may include students from other academic degree programs who have enrolled in TEM courses to complement their primary course of study. This cross-pollination mirrors the real-world, multi-disciplinary approach to solving complex technical challenges and developing high-impact, high-value products. Through coursework and projects in product development, consumer behavior, process innovation, management and entrepreneurship, you will gain a full spectrum of skills needed to be an entrepreneur.

Through the online Bachelor of Science in Technical Communication, you will learn how to produce, design and manage information, using both traditional and developing technologies. Technical communication is applied workplace communication that makes technical information understandable and available to many audiences. The curriculum brings together information, writing, multimedia, and communication technology, and includes courses such as Principles of Visual Communication, Principles of Writing with Technology, Writing for Professional Publication and Proposal Writing.

The bachelor of science in software engineering program, is a unique project-driven curriculum, establishing a new model for software engineering education.
